| BSBC SNOW STORM POLICY | ||
Church activities are not like compulsory education. We all make voluntary decisions every week as to whether or not we will attend church. When a storm arises we all have different thresholds of risk. Therefore, as long as paid staff members can make it to church in order to conduct services, we will plan on holding worship services. Sunday School, Youth Groups and Pioneer Clubs are a different story. Because they take so many people to operate they are thrown into greater disarray by a storm than are worship services. Therefore, we are quicker to cancel these ministries than a worship service. Of course a dozen factors affect each decision e.g., storm severity and status, ice, snow removal, heat in facility, staff availability etc.. Therefore, decisions need to be made on a case-by-case basis. If you think church activities might be cancelled, please listen to the following radio stations for more information: WTAG (AM580) or WSRS (FM96.1). Pastor George A.
